RoleFast Trac Operator

Position Objective:

The Fast Trac Operator I will work under proper supervision as needed to ensure the equipment works properly prior to running a product.  The Fast Trac Operator must be familiar with all standard safety precautions and procedures to ensure extruder and mill are safe to operate and meet company quality and safety protocols.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Under proper supervision safely assembles and disassemble extruder and mill.
  • Check equipment prior to running to make sure is clean.
  • Set equipment control screen according to specifications.
  • Check 325 retention to ensure correct setting on the mill.
  • Ability to weight up ingredients as per written recipe as needed.
  • Observe machine conditions to verify it’s safe to use.
  • Turn on chill rollers and adjust to the right speed.
  • Collect and move final product to mill area.
  • Document product running conditions as needed per supervisor’s instructions.
  • Communicate with supervisors and coworkers about the processes.
  • Adapt and work effectively within a constantly changing environment.
  • Work in a high performance, fast-paced team environment.
  • Cover up extruder after cleaning and while not in use to prevent contamination.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

No direct supervisory responsibilities for this position.

Position Accountability:

This individual will be expected to produce product that meets with company quality and quantity. This position requires general understanding of production equipment and environment. The Fast Trac Operator will be expected to use good judgement, and ethical decision-making abilities when extruding and documenting process.

  • Ability to understand written instructions.
  • Must be able to comply with all company Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Ability to follow safety protocols.
  • Ability to operate machinery.

No travel requirements for this position.

Education and/or Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to stand for 8+ hours a day on hard surfaces.
  • Must be able to comply with all company Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • May be exposed to fumes, chemicals, dust and noise.
  • Ability to climb, bend, balance.
  • Ability to lift or move up to approximately 25 lbs.
