ROLE: Warehouse Lead – Atlanta

Location: Atlanta, GA

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

This position is responsible for management of the Atlanta, GA. warehouse, to assure we have on time shipments, clean and orderly facility, excellent inventory tracking and storage as well as leadership and support of all additional warehouse personnel.

The position is responsible for warehouse for picking, packing, cycle counting and raw material inventory and will not only interact with all parts of the organization to assure superior service is achieved but will work to continuously improve existing processes to elevate our company.

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain the Warehouse and instruct team members.   Below are examples of activities:
    • Preparing and pulling orders to be shipped
    • Complete Finished Goods cycle counts and propose adjustment based on counts and additional research
    • Check orders to ensure the oldest batch is picked until a better process is established
    • Receive all inbound Trucks (ex: MX Trucks, RGA’s, Transfers)
    • List shelf locations for the shipping clerks from trucks received
    • Must be able to operate a forklift to load and unload trucks
    • Must have Driver’s license to make local deliveries.
    • Assuring warehouse is secure and assets are protected.
    • Leadership skills are a must to facilitate the growth of all other warehouse personnel.
  • Efficiently support Customer Service, and the warehouse Clerks by shipping orders correctly

o     

      • LTL, Ground, and/or Express shipments
      • Full truck, approved warehouse transfers
  • Support the Raw Material Warehouse activities include:
  • Complete Cycle Counts weekly if Raw material lead is out
  • Prep Raw materials that needs to be ordered.
  • Maintain Kanban’s established by the logistics manager.
  • Support Logistics manager to ensure that service levels are met by warehouse.
    • Ensure Shipping Clerks have all POD’s (shipped paperwork) by the End of Day
    • Complete daily pickups of Finished Goods from the Production department
    • Confirm all Inbound paperwork has been collected and given to shipping clerks to be sent to the Inventory Control Department
  • Trucks, Transfers and RGA’s

Key Competencies and Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS office, especially Excel.
  • Accurate Data entry skills with extreme attention to detail.
  • Ability to attain solid competency and proficiency in D365 BC.
  • Ability to work well within a team environment.
  • Embrace an environment of continuous improvement and adapt to change quickly.
  • Detail oriented and comfortable working in a fast-paced office environmen

  • Superior organizational skills and dedication to completing job functions in a timely manner.

 Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to traverse the office and warehouse facility.
  • Able to lift a maximum of 55 pounds at a time.
  • Climb a ladder.
  • Stand for a maximum of 8 hours per day.
  • Comply with wearing appropriate Personal Protection Equipment (PPE), when necessary.
  • Bending/squatting to perform necessary tasks.
  • Lift arms overhead
  • Visibly and audibly able to access surrounding area for potential dangers within the warehouse.
  • Continuously input data using a computer/keyboard.

TRAVEL

  • Some travel is required for this position, specifically for training, development, and inventory control.
  • In some cases, the use of a company delivery truck may be required.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma is a must.
  • Must have 3-5 years’ experience working in a warehouse and shown leadership abilities.
