JOB TITLE: Brand Leader

Location: Houston, TX

1.0 POSITION OBJECTIVE: This position is responsible for coordinating all marketing functions for the business, including but not limited to literature, color cards, website, social media, and building and sustaining the market brand and image. Additionally, this role will develop and execute brand strategies that align with Vitracoat’s growth objectives and market positioning. Reporting directly to the President or Director of Marketing, the Brand Leader will focus on ensuring consistent messaging across all internal and external channels. The ideal candidate will excel in internal communications, particularly in crafting clear and compelling messages for the organization.

  1. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES will include the following:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive brand strategies that align with the company’s goals and market positioning.
  • Knowledge of powder coatings or coating related products and servcies
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of the brand’s identity, ensuring consistency across all channels and touchpoints.
  • Plan, execute, and evaluate marketing campaigns that promote brand awareness, product launches, and customer engagement.
  • Conduct market research to identify trends, opportunities, and customer insights that inform the advancement of brand strategies.
  • Utilize CRM systems and marketing automation tools to manage and analyze customer data, track interactions, and support sales and marketing efforts.
  • Oversee the handling and organization of CRM data, ensuring accuracy and relevance for strategic decision-making and customer relationship management.
  • Responsible for the segmentation of sales data and analyzing those segments to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for brand growth.
  • Plan and coordinate events such as tradeshow participation as an exhibitor, ensuring that these events align with the brand strategy and maximize brand exposure.
  • Work closely with the powder coating lab team, sales, and other key members in the organization to ensure brand alignment across all initiatives.
  • Monitor and analyze the performance of brand initiatives, providing regular reports and recommendations for optimization.
  • Oversee resource allocation for brand initiatives, working closely with the President to ensure cost-effectiveness and maximize return on investment.
  • Identify and establish strategic partnerships that enhance brand visibility and growth.
  • Develop and oversee all brand communication, including advertising, social media, PR, and content marketing.

3.0 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
While this position will not start with any direct reports he/she must be willing to train, mentor and/or support all members of the sales and marketing team to optimize effort and focus on achieving business sales and profit goals.  


4.0 POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY
This individual will be expected to work with a very high level of independence yet also be comfortable working in a group environment. He/she will be expected to use good judgment, ethical decision-making abilities and business initiative to drive the organization to meet its business goals.

5.0 EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field is a plus.
  • 3 – 5 years of experience in brand management, marketing, or a similar role with a focus on both external branding and internal communications.
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
  • Proficiency in Marketing Automation Tools.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages for various audiences.
  • Ability to translate brand vision into actionable strategies and campaigns.
  • Experience in planning and executing events, particularly trade shows, to enhance brand visibility.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Proven ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and manage relationships with external partners.
  • The ability to work independent 

Additional:

  • Experience in the powder coatings or a related industry is a plus
  • Spanish speaking is a plus for this position
  • Represent Vitracoat at functions as needed when needed.
  • Some travel will be required and perhaps to Vitracoat’s corporate office in Mexico
  • Some administrative needs will be necessary for this position in support of Regional Managers, Salesmen and members of the Technical Support Team.
  • Collaboration and coordination with Mexico to assure a singular image and brand is promoted
