  Essential Functions:

  • Talent Acquisition/ Recruitment; a priority for this role.
  • Conduct all daily functions necessary for Human Resources
  • Efficiently expedite new hire onboarding and orientation.
  • Assists in day-to-day administration of insurance benefits and 401k.
  • Plans, prepares, and facilitates monthly employee appreciation events, and birthday celebrations and assists wherever needed with other events within the facility.
  • Active role in employee relation issues including but not limited to coaching, counseling, and corrective action that accommodates the employee and Vitracoat’s best interest.
  • Experience-based, ability to demonstrate good decision-making during a difficult situation.
  • Attends and participates in employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations.
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
  • Assist Safety Manager with record keeping and investigations.
  • File worker’s compensation claims, assist with investigations, and maintain injury log.
  • Manage and track employee timekeeping, including vacation, personal time, and recording any disruptions to the employee’s regular work schedules.

 

Requirements

  • Talent Acquisition and Recruitment; prior full-scale recruitment experience is mandatory. Must have skill set for conducting interviews, facilitate hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; and collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
  • Solid understanding and experience in core HR practices.
  • Experience with Human Resources Information Systems (HRIS).
  • Ability to use logic and reasoning to understand, analyze, and evaluate situations and exercise good judgment to make appropriate decisions
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization’s HRIS and talent management systems.
