1.0 POSITION OBJECTIVE: The goal of this position is to provide administration support to the development laboratory and quality control department within the organization. Essential duties will include the distribution and maintenance of documentation and project flow to maintain an organized and essential part of our business.

2.0 ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review, approve or reject all pending LWRs in LWR Portal
  • Receives and log in LWR standards.
  • Prepare folders with LWR, customer’s standard and any information pertinent to the LWR for Technicians
  • Update LWR Portal as needed with project progress.
  • Creates labels for panels, boxes, retain and others as needed.
  • Responsible for preparing shipping boxes or items from the lab.
  • Email Sales when sample boxes are shipped along with the TDS & SDS as directed.
  • Maintain log of laboratory supplies (panels, books, labels) and order them as needed.
  • Provide formulation to Lerma Accounting for costing as needed.
  • Work closely with Operations, Marketing and Quality Control to update collateral literature.
  • Works with Complaint Leader as needed.
  • As needed, apply, and bake powder coatings.

3.0 SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • No supervisory responsibilities for this position.
  • POSITION ACCOUNTABILITY
    This individual will be expected to work in a group environment under the supervision of the Lab Supervisor. He/she will be expected to use good judgment, and ethical decision-making abilities when reporting data.

5.0 QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without accommodations.
  • Ability to operate machinery.
  • Able to lift 25 lbs.

6.0 TRAVEL

  • No travel requirement for this position

7.0 EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • High School diploma is a must.
  • Associate degree is preferable.
  • Organizational skills essential.
  • Laboratory and coatings experience are a plus.
  • Spanish speaking is a plus.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work a part of a team.
  • At a minimum Intermediate Microsoft Excel, and Word knowledge is required.

8.0 PHYSICAL DEMANDS


The employee must be able to communicate clearly with others and must be physically able to stand, walk, reach, climb or balance, and kneel. The employee must be able to occasionally lift or move up to approximately 25 pounds. Vision abilities required by this job include close and distant vision and color vision.
